Your opportunity to get your pressing questions as a sensitive creative addressed, multi-passionate creativity, and some thoughts on how to be more visible and feel safer in the process!

Perhaps it's because I grew up in the UK so my subconscious brain believes that I should be on holiday until September, but I always feel like August should be a slightly gentler month with more room for having fun.
Because of this I haven't booked as much in over the last few weeks, but am quitely chipping away at things and have some exciting new courses and workshops coming up in the Autumn π π π
Perhaps the most important news is that I'll be closing all my 1:1 multi-session programmes on Friday 25th August. They won't be gone forever β I'll reopen them again in Spring 2024 β but if you'd like to work together at the current prices to do this important work then the invitation is still open to you till then! π
If you'd like to talk to me about Stellar Sensitive Creatives which has two places open then please book a free Discovery Call and we can discuss whether the programme would be right for you.β¨
Otherwise I really hope you enjoy this month's edition of The Creative Connection which features your opportunity to get your pressing questions as a sensitive creative addressed, multi-passionate creativity, and some thoughts on how to be more visible and feel safer in the process!

As you may know we usually have a monthly topic, but this month is a bit different!
For this Sensitive Creatives Meetup I wanted to create space for you to find support in the subjects that are really important in your own creative journey. Youβll be invited to submit your questions in advance, but you are also welcome to ask them live in the session. Some prompts could be:
Where are you feeling stuck?
Is there something you wish you could talk through to help you work out the next right step?
Would you like to pick my brains around my 16 years of being a sensitive creative?
Is there a myth or a piece of advice you feel needs challenging and you'd like to bring it to the group to work through?
All questions are welcome, so please feel free to send them in using the form below! If you'd like to be anonymous then just let me know at the end of your question βΊοΈ
As always, feel free to come along and participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you. This month, find support for the questions that are most relevant in your creativity so you can make the steps forward you want to!

Nearer the beginning of July I also met with a lovely group for the montly Sensitive Creatives Meetup where we discussed βMulti-passionate creativity - How do we do everything we love?β. If youβd like to watch the replay you can find it over here.β

In July I added two posts over on my 'On Creativity' blog.
βA map for multi-passionate, sensitive creative wanderers in which I justify my recent binge-watching of Lord Of The Rings films by crafting a metaphor around the tension many creatives feel between following the new, exciting medium or idea that lights you up, while also wanting to feel that you are also contributing to forming a body of work or a meaningful career. Where does the balance lie and how can we know we are on the right track?
βOn becoming more visible and learning to feel safer being seen is a post about some of the less discussed visibility fears that come up for sensitive creatives, including how difficult it can be when people see our talents or gifts but we struggle to accept them ourselves. How can we be visible but manage the fear that comes with being seen?
I'm never going to be someone who want to spend loads of time of any social media platform, but it has been fun seeing how much more free and open creators seem to be on the new Threads app as opposed to Instagram itself, and I've felt more able to share my in-progress thoughts. If you'd like to connect you can find me at @eleanor.chaney.creativity βΊοΈπ§΅πͺ‘

I often recommend Tara Mohr's 'Playing Big: Practical Wisdom For Women Who Want To Speak Up, Create and Lead' to clients, and I've been turning to it's pages myself again this month for all the wisdom it contains. While it focuses on women as its audience, there are so many lessons in this book about how to give ourselves permission to do the things we care about that I think sensitive creatives especially will benefit from.
I've also been absolutely loving Christine McConnell's YouTube series 'From The Mind Of Christine McConnell'. Wonderfully gothic without being too scary for even me (and I hate horror) she is a multi-passionate creative to impress us all with her many skills and passion for different projects. There is something so inspiring about someone pursuing what they love: making things and sharing it with others. The comments always encourage me that there is a world full of people out there who value multi-passionate creativity too!
I've also watched every. single. episode of Best In Miniature Series 2 and much mini-making has taken place but hopefully I'll be able to tell you more about that in the September Creative Connection π
I'd love to hear your favourite books or YouTube recommendations too - just press reply and let me know what have been inspiring you lately β¨
